Description

Resveratrol is an extract of grape skins and blueberries. The good effect of red wine, for example, comes from the grape skins. Unfortunately, the alcohol in red wine is a toxin and a poor source of sugars.
Resveratrol has an antioxidant effect that makes free radicals harmless. For example, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and it supports detoxification systems, which slows down aging. It mimics the effects of calorie restriction, which is known as a longevity supporting and quality of life enhancing life strategy.

Resveratrol is a stilbene and non-flavonoid polyphenol produced by various plants, including grapes and blueberries. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardio-protective, anti-mutagenic and anti-carcinogenic properties similar to pycnogenol but it is less absorbable. It also inhibits platelet aggregation and the activity of various enzymes involved in DNA production in vitro. It activates SIRT 1 which is important in calorie restriction. Depending on the tissue, resveratrol has an estrogen or anti-estrogenic effect. Resveratrol acts on various signal transduction mechanisms such as AKT / PKB pathway, NF-kB pathway, modulating Fas and FasL.

Dosage

Bodhi contains 60 mg resveratrol, which is the lower limit of the preventive directive.
